stuff been happenin'

while i've been semi awol from my blog, stuffs been a-happenin'. there's been a bit of partyin', a lot of eatin' & even some haircuttin'. just keepin' life interesting!

joe was in town enroute from london to malaysia...






























then ita turned 30!...

amongts the festivities i also went to a first birthday party last weekend ~ babies galore! and sarah cooked the yummiest duck pasta...

bring on Christmas!

37 days...

so it is now officially 37 days 4 hours and 28 minutes to go... but who's counting, right? it's exciting but it's not, and i'm now learning to feign excitement when every second person comes up to me and says "oh my god you must be so excited!"

we're in the midst of selling up everything we own and moving to the in-law's. i've just organised shipment of our boxes, booking trucks, selling items and organising showing people our items... and I am exhausted.

i know i know, get over it cat!

i know i'm having a grizzly moment. i really am excited. excited about Christmas being less than a week away, excited about partying on new years eve, excited about being unemployed *wheeee!* and excited about seeing my family & enjoying the Gold Coast before taking off to that ice cube they call London!

and thanks to Loreen, I already have London plans! Tea on February 3rd. So looking forward to it!

shhh... quiet!

last weekend, panu and i sneaked away to a small... town? i wouldn't even call it a town. we sneaked away to a well hidden little community, tucked away along the cliffs and beaches of NSW's central coast. there was one main street and a nestling of half a dozen shops, the largest one of which was the corner deli. it was so quiet that if i lived here, i would gladly have dug my eyeballs out due to sheer boredom, but to take 2 days out from manic sydney and actually hear the crickets chirp was just insanely refreshing.

ever the princess, we lived it up the 5 star way, spending our weekend at the most divine, luscious, most private "hotel" i've ever stayed in ~ Killcare Bells. the Bells consist of only 6 individual cottages, decked out in style (Aveda bath toiletries makes all the difference!) and more privacy than you can imagine.





















acres of pristinely manicured lawns for as far as we could see, little woodchipped path ways, ponds with lillies, dragonflies and tadpoles *cute!* and ok this get's a tad mushy, but even the cutest little bunny rabbits hopping throughout the gardens! divine...




















oh and did i mention the delicious gourmet breakfast hamper delivered each and every day?!

silly season!

it's barely december and already there are christmas parties aplenty! amongst the many vendor parties, we had our own Didata party last thursday night at Home Bar, on the Rooftop. Great fun til they turned the lights on at 11pm, but it's all good, we kicked on at Cargo. Needless to say, the office was eerily quiet last Friday morning!
