half naked man... why not?

wandering along savile row yesterday, i stumble upon the abercrombie & fitch store ~ which by the way (and not at all biased by my new half naked friend) is one of the coolest retail stores i have ever been in ~ and there, just standing there, is a hot half naked model.

so what do I do? i asked for a polaroid with the guy!

home sweet home

sorry for the lack of posts over the last week or so. we {read: panu} found us a place to call home *yay!* and have spent the last few days settling in and trying to obtain living essentials such as the internet! it's going to take a while before we get onto ADSL (BT have a reputation for being slow) but we've temporarily bought a 3G wireless dongle, whose cuteness has me totally besotted.

it is so good to have a place to call home. we've unpacked for the first time in two months and rediscovered clothes and shoes we'd forgotten about. it's all brand new again! who woulda guessed i'd be this excited to see some trackies i packed away back in November?

in the mean time, i start work tomorrow. 5 weeks of unemployment passed me by far too quickly. this cloud appears to have £'s dangling from each silver corner though so i shouldn't be complaining.

stay tuned for photos of the apartment...

for the love of sashimi

before coming to London, we had heard horror stories of how bad the quality of food in London was. everything's bland, expensive and almost-stale, well all except curry but then you pay through the nose for curry. So i was super anxious upon arrival because my entire wellbeing really depends on a healthy serve of fresh sashimi at least once every couple of weeks!

once here, it appeared there was an abundance of japanese cafés and restaurants, but i wanted some direction. enter Loreen, who has saved my life on so many levels in the past decade, but guiding me towards fresh sashimi is probably right up there.

last night Panu and I tried Hi Sushi, a little japanese café in SoHo, for all you can eat sushi & sashimi at £14.80pp.

it. was. to. die. for. everything was so delicious! *drooL*

Loreen has saved me again.

milestone

today is a milestone. today, as i walked to Hammersmith to buy yet another pair of boots (that's a whole nother story), i basked in the sunshine (albeit london standard sunshine) and breathed in the crisp air and did not think "feck its cold". i actually, genuinely, whole-heartedly enjoyed the cool fresh air. Am i aclimatising?

on another note, shopping in London is pretty darn good. i've already bought 3 pairs of boots *heHe* Gotta watch the purse though, i ain't earning pounds just yet!
