i love...

... my new place.

yes I'm in love. no boys, just my home... the packing, the moving, the unpacking. the bruised legs, the sore back, the damaged hands. all worth it...

aren't my gerbera's pretty?

Thanks to the people who helped me pack - Babs - and to the people who gave me lots of moral support - Ying - and to the people who are more excited than I am - Mel! *hehehe*

hottie alert!

i'm over Superman - and while Chris Evans' bod still lives on my msn, it's time for a new hottie on the block. he's gorgeous, he's got great teeth, he's got great clothes. he must be gay. well thank god it's just his character who bats for the other team!!

People, this is Ryan Carnes. He plays Justin (Bree's son Andrew's boyfriend) on Desperate Housewives... and damn is he a fine specimen of the male species...

*drool* *wipe* *drool*

i'm in my new pad - and i love it. LOVE IT. I've taken pics and will post next week... its so cosy, so cool, i'm so in love! what's not to love about a funky pad in Newtown, down the road from the city, with Thai food on my doorstep?

a little average...

i'm feeling a little average today. not sure why but it's been one of those days when you're just not equipped to smile at the world, or be nice to anyone. my head's a little spacey, my stomach is a little unbalanced... hair isn't right and nor is my face really. one of them days.

Babs called me earlier. to top off my day this is what she said:

Babs: "Hey Cat. I have good news and bad news"

Me: "oh ok gimme the bad news first"

Babs: "Actually, the good news is just for me. The bad news is for you."

Me: "oh."

lucky i love Babs to bits....

another weekend in Brisvegas

More work in Brissie, thus another weekend catching up with the usual suspects...

Friday night Shell & Khanh took me to this swanky new bar called Lychee Lounge, in West End (which by the way has changed from a totally dodgy suburb to majorly swanky in the time I've been gone). Lychee Lounge was full of painfully trendy, very pretty people. The light fixtures were kinda weird tho... severed Barbie doll heads...

Saturday night Ying, Trevor & I had dinner @ JazBar, some place in Milton where they play jazzy tunes to distract you from the average service and make you cook your own food hehe.. those who know me know I like to pay for my food cooked - hence I don't really do the Korean BBQ thing either. Once the food arrived, I poked it around on my "stone grill" until it was cooked, and I ate it. I contemplated burning myself on the super hot stone grill, and suing them, but chose not to do so. So wise.

Following dinner, and after some yummy plum wine courtesy of Ying, we went to Fridays for a bit of a dance.. nice big place, great view, fairly dodgy crowd.. Ying drank lots... and got tired Hehe...

happy b'day Ying!!

it feels like it's been ages since I blogged, but really it's been all of 6 days. So perhaps lots has happened since I last blogged? Unfortunately not, I'm not that interesting..

Actually i've done a number of things but have no photographic evidence cos Stephanie accused me of being embarrassingly touristy with my snap happy fingers *hehe* so true but hey, who really cares? She did obviously, so when we were out at Masuya for dinner Friday night, the camera was banned. Poor thing. After dinner we headed over to Arthouse for a dance cos Sean was dj'ing... and well, needed to dance off the meal. T'was a fun night... also saw Arthur, who i never see anymore... and had a strangely personal conversation on the way home...

Saturday was spent mostly horizontal infront of the tv.. til Babs called and woke me up at 4pm! Then it was over to her house and onto the hard labour straight away... for those who don't know, Babs is making her own wedding invitations. Rephrase: Babs and me and Kat are making her wedding invitations. And mate, these are no ordinary invitations.

We are making books. 8 page books. Of which each page is made of 3 pages. That, for those of you playing at home, is 24 sheets to cut, score, tape and stick for each invitation! Sounds extravagant yah? Check out the pics and you may get an idea...

Anyway... the labour lasted from Saturday through to about 9pm on Sunday night. Yes you read right - Sunday. Then I went home and crashed.

Was a very relaxing weekend.

Tomorrow I'm off to Brisvegas for work again... so will stay the weekend.

Oh and today Ying turns 28!! You are SO OLD Ying!! Happy Birthday!

Work, travel, friends.. & Superman

i had the pleasure - not - of working in Brissie again last week - the dynamic in that office is so strange, they kinda go there and "work" and it hits 5pm and they're outta there. They aren't friends, they don't know anything personal about each other, they don't seem to care either. Weird! Probably a good way to be actually. My work is still crazy busy, I may have to make a trip to Canberra this week (hopefully not!) and to Brissie again next week. Anyway... we'll see... not a fan of the air travel. Event season is taking it's toll..

Brisvegas... I spent the daylight hours with my folks, and the twilight hours with friends... managed to catch up with Shell & Khanh..

Lil' Di & Delon...

and also Ying, Tiff, Trevor, Anne & Steven!

We went to Bali Grill (Trevor picked it so its completely his fault that the service was crap *hehe*). As soon as we sat the mean lady told us we had to be out by 8. And when I took a photo of the prawn salad, she said "we don't allow people to take photos of our food, please delete it from your camera." Right.

So not only did I not delete it, here it is people - in all its glory! For copyright's sake, and to piss off the mean lady, please everyone, go make a dish that looks exactly like this!!

After dinner, we went and watched a movie which starred Ying & my future hubby - Superman Returns!!Ok so Ying saw him first, but I'm gonna steal him *mwahahahahaaa*. Goddamn, move over Chris Evans, Brandon Routh is THE HOTTEST MAN ALIVE!!!

3 hours of bliss... perfect as perfect can be.

*sigh*
