most funnest day!

today has been one of the most funnest (which, ofcourse is a word) day I've had in a while, hence the need to post before the day is even over! *heHe* we did so much it felt like 3 weekends crammed into one, but this is how i like it ~ good food, good friends, and good cuddles at the end of the day *awww*... *puke*

the day started early with a wake up call from Jade. she was in town for a Weiss Bar conference (i wanted to partake in the eating of ice creams too, but apparently that didn't actually happen) so we met up for breakfast before her long and painful (nursing a hangover) flight back to perth. it was incredible seeing Jade again ~ she's the closest thing i've ever had to a sister, plus she's Gizmo's other mama, so that bonds us more than blood ties ever will! ironically, i hadn't seen Jade in over 4 years and was so looking forward to my trip to Perth next month and seeing her but here is she, one month premature but who's complaining?

after breakfast, panu and i caught a bus through Darlinghurst to Paddington and strolled back to the city down Oxford Street, browsing through the many swanky mostly unaffordable boutiques and stopping for a sugar hit at none other than Max Brenner's. Bald or not, that man makes some mean chocolate treats!

heaven delivered in the cutest "hugmug". what more could one ask for?

we strolled leisurely from Paddington into the city where i treated myself to a new pair of Cellini silver flat sandals. i know i'll probably start an uproar over this comment but i do not remember the last time i bought a pair of shoes, so i was on cloud nine with my purchase and floated all the way to Cupcakes on Pitt. Yes, i know, i should have been all sugared out but Max Brenner left me wanting more! It is the weekend after all, when is there a better time to sin? *wink*

after leaving the city, panu and i met up with the usual suspects at the Surry Hills Festival, which seems to go from strength to strength every year. we found a spot near the beats stage, spreadout some sarongs and ate, drank and were merry...

the festival wrapped up at 6.30pm, leaving us the evening free still to do more! We drove past Hyde Park hoping that the night noodle markets were on, but unfortunately they weren't. so we headed home, i made sushi, and we settled down for the night with a dvd ~ Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

what a sh*t movie. but it didn't ruin my day. now ready for bed, i look back on today and am so satisfied. g'nite!
